Information on Battery Disposal

In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are obligated to inform you of the following:

Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.

You can return used batteries that we carry or have carried in our product range as new batteries to us at your own expense or return them free of charge to our shipping warehouse (shipping address). Alternatively, you can drop off the batteries at local collection points.

As an end user, you are legally obligated to return used batteries so that they can be recycled or properly disposed of.

Used batteries may contain harmful substances that can damage the environment or your health if not stored or disposed of properly. However, batteries also contain important raw materials, such as iron, zinc, manganese, or nickel, and can be recycled.

The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:

The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin means that the battery must not be disposed of in household waste.

For batteries that contain more than a certain amount of lead, cadmium, or mercury, the following additions below the crossed-out bin symbol indicate the respective pollutant:

Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004 percent lead by weight
Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002 percent cadmium by weight
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005 percent mercury by weight

Information on the take-back obligation for packaging material

In accordance with the current Packaging Act pursuant to Section 15 (1) Sentence 1 VerpackG, we are obliged to take back the following packaging materials from end consumers free of charge:

• Transport packaging, such as pallets, bulk packaging, etc.,
• Sales and outer packaging that typically does not accumulate as waste at private end consumers after use,
• Sales and outer packaging for which system participation is not possible due to system incompatibility pursuant to Section 7 (5), and
• Sales packaging for goods containing harmful substances, or
• Reusable packaging.

Appropriate packaging material is used when delivering the product; we take this back free of charge. In doing so, we ensure that the packaging material is returned to the recycling system. By providing information on return options, better results in returning packaging are to be achieved and a contribution toward fulfilling the European recovery targets under EU Directive 94/62/EC is ensured.

As an end consumer, you can return the packaging material at the actual point of delivery or in its immediate vicinity.
